GARLIC ASKS ABOUT THE BUSH WEDDING VIDEO

Republican candidate George W. Bush was videotaped by a wealthy guest at the wedding reception of two politically active friends at a country club in West Texas in 1992. He was part owner of the Texas Rangers at the time, and, although he is seen treating a drink as though it contains alcohol and he cavorts on camera as though he had a few, he has since said he hasn't had a drop of alcohol since 1986. Matt Drudge reported that the videographer said Bush was taped "appearing sarcastic, obnoxious and possibly intoxicated." What do you think?

"I, also, haven't had a drop since 1986. What was the question?

Don Roberts, Stock Analyst

"Probably the only thing more depressing than the possibility that Bush was totally lit that night is that he appears to be sober. More confirmation that we have a vast sucking noise running for president. I need a drink."

Dahlia Litwick, writer

"Well, Bush ish shlurring his words, if only shlightly ."

Benjamin Clark, Architect

"My impression of Mr Bush's statement that he hadn't had a drop since 1986 was that it was made previous to his two more recent parachute jumps, which were made under careful, professional supervision with the utmost of safety precautions. Pretty impressive, actually, for a man of his years. "

Terry Jenner, Law Professor

"Matt Drudge is an evil troll and always has been. Why are we talking about him?"

David Tell, writer

"I am outraged that Garlic would ask me to speculate on whether or not George W. Bush was drunk in the now-infamous wedding video when it's absolutely transparent from Bush's behavior that he was ripped on "Chiba-Chiba," a Brazilian form of reefer--high in THC--and usually gummy and compressed into bricks. Chiba-Chiba intoxication more than explains Bush's sprightly combination of slur-free speech and shit-faced silliness. The drink in Bush's hand, which he expertly empties into his gaping mouth, is a beard for his stoned condition, and I am astonished at how many fell for it."

this is a parody of an ONION parody of a SLATE story.
